Q: Are you licensed and insured?
A: Maui Home Improvement has a GE license and is insured for up to $2,000,000 in liability and property damage. We don't have a contractors license in the state of Hawaii and instead exist as a Handyman Business.
Q: I want to tile one of the bathrooms in my house. Do you do small jobs like that?
A: Yes, of course, we'd be happy to do that for you. Tell us more so we can get a better understanding of what you have in mind. A job like that, of course depending on size and the condition of the subfloor, would probably take a day or two to complete.
Q: There's a hole in a wall in my house, could you repair that for me?
A: No problem, let's schedule a time so we can have someone come out and fix it as soon as possible.
Q: How long does a kitchen remodel usually take?
A: There are many variables that can affect the schedule for a remodel. There are two main things that affect the timing on a job, one is cost and the other is quality. There are of course many other factors but as far as the property owner is concerned those are the two you should be focusing on. The longer the timeframe the cheaper the job can get done, and then of course the opposite happens when you want a job done in less time. The same goes with quality, the lower the quality the faster and cheaper the job is going be. Once all of our questions are answered and a budget is worked out then we could give you a work schedule. We always try to do everything we can to stay on schedule, even if it means working on the weekend.
Q: I'm looking for someone who can bring my kitchen back from the dead. Are you the man for the job?
A: Yes, Brett is the man for the job because he will be able to put life into the space no matter what your budget is.
